Fixing a leaky bathtub faucet – leaky faucet, or anyone else for that matter – can be an expensive – if you can not do it alone!

In this article we will consider the most common cause of a leaky faucet, and show you how to fix it quickly and cheaply.

Preparation

It 'almost goes without saying that you must first close the water! Where can I find the handles, does that mean? Just look under the sink and see where the cables run. Somewhereits length is either a handle or a wheel, you can use to turn off the power grid. In almost all cases you must rotate clockwise to close.

A different formulation for the block drain sink – just a bad accident away with something (like a screw or a small nut) disappears from the window to avoid ever seen. Using plug we normally use, or put a little 'cloth opening. It's no good being wise after the event!

And – even if you do not needsay – makes sure that an additional drive (or two) from the local hardware store – you have not purchased, according to research when you use the faucet in your head!

Action

Locate the screw that is running the faucet handle in place (which may be behind a small cover plate or be hidden, reducing the need to become familiar with a small screwdriver or similar will be recovered). So screw.

The next task is to handle. Use a screwdriver to do tothese – you may need to spend some 'strength for the price, but it will come.

Now you can use the old washing machine (do not worry, I will see if that will apply, however.) Remove the old washer and the new. Note that the hole in the windscreen, slightly larger than the central body, which rotates the handle.

Now under control, but to tighten the fingers clenched, rotate, that is only until it stops, without the need for additional force to be applied.

Next, and then turn on the waterand see what happens! If there are losses, you're home and dry (excuse the pun!). If it still leaks, try tightening the net a bit 'more.

If there are more losses after that, so that the problem is elsewhere, and is required to get a plumber, after all. But at least it was worth trying!

(And then – if you notice a large accumulation of lime around the handle – clean, make arrangements with a particular product from your hardware store – it will) you will pay in the long term.

A screwdriver or two – maybe a flat head screw and screwdriver or cross-. Two discs (maybe we will take the old time before your visit to the shop to have the right to purchase or just a little 'slices mixed – do not buy expensive to be sure).
